Links: A wild, unfortunate weekend for Puget Sound boaters

Though the weather was gorgeous for boating over the weekend around Puget Sound and the Salish Sea, there were also a series of unfortunate happenings as well.

Here’s a quick roundup of links on several incidences:

Saturday night/Sunday morning: Active Shooter in Eagle Harbor —

A standoff at Bainbridge Island’s Eagle Harbor ended early Sunday morning when police shot and killed an armed man on an anchored sailboat. Full story at komonews.com.

Saturday: Boat sinks at Port of Bremerton —

While out cruising, Three Sheets own Marty McOmber was on scene in Bremerton and caught the above footage of a very slowly sinking powerboat.

Saturday night: Fire at Everett Marina —

A fire broke out at Everett Marina around 8 p.m. Saturday night when a boat caught fire as it was docking. Five people were reportedly pulled from the water and one was treated at the scene for minor injuries. Read more at king5.com.
