Year in and year out, one of the most popular features at the Seattle Boat Show is the extensive line-up of free boating and 
There are hundreds of seminars to choose from and dozens of new presenters, panels and topics for those who are looking for new content. New seminars focused on technology, electronics, communications and navigation will be given and, on the fishing stage alone, there will be 10 new topics out of the 55 seminars.
Boat Show University will have more classes on weather, maintenance and cruising the Inside Passage. New this year on the show’s website is the ability to search the seminar schedule by type, topic, date, stage and key word, making it easier for attendees to research and plan their show visits.
Of interest and great value to those considering attending numerous seminars on multiple days will be the new Unlimited Pass. The $40 e-ticket includes admission on all nine show days as well as free parking on any or all days at Bell Street Pier Garage or on weekends at the Yale Avenue Garage at South Lake Union. (A single-day ticket is $15.) Alternatively, a walk-up only, multi-day ticket is $30 and does not include any free parking. A free shuttle runs continuously between all three show locations.
The show, now with three locations — indoors at CenturyLink Field Event Center and afloat at Bell Harbor Marina and South Lake Union — opens Friday, Jan. 26 and runs through Saturday, Feb 3, 2018.

Free Fishing and Crabbing Seminars
On the fishing and crabbing stage there will be 55 free fishing seminars and 10 new topics with the best experts in their field such as Tom Nelson, host of ESPN 710’s Outdoor Line and Puget Sound expert fishing guides Keith Robbins, Gary Krein and Nick Kester. New to the show this year are Dave Graybill, a noted central Washington writer and radio show host, Brad Hole, kayak fishing guide and founder of Kayak Fishing Washington and Austin Moser, owner of Austin’s Northwest Adventures. There is no better way for an angler to improve his or her success on the water than investing in an hour or two at one of the show’s seminars.
